Or more likely 2032 as the prediction models I have access to show Harris as now having an edge over Trump.

There was a rumour that Shapiro actually took himself out of the contest before Harris made a decision. He's relatively young and not made for a number 2 role, so he thought better of it, maybe. So yes, 2028 or 2032.

No he does not. Harris is performing extremely well, on stage, on policy issues, in the polls. In regards to the debate, Biden showed he was delusional and Trump showed clear signs of dementia. These are distinct ageing diseases. The Democrats have addressed their issue. The Republicans have not.
