PayPal mafia is in big with supporting Trump. Monopolistic big tech has historically supported and tacitly partnered on elements of the Democratic agenda. (eg. suppression and obfuscation of facts in legacy MSM and social media, social engineering via Hollywood, etc.)

Big tech could be under significant threat to their ever-growing power under a Trump/Vance administration. Could be very healthy in the long run for tech innovation and "free-er" markets. Hard to imagine a tech world aligned with the likes of Lina Khan's FTC but that may be in fact coming about?

Trump reminds me of Herbert Hoover. He advocates many of the same policies and is likely to cause a market crash. But then a correction is due after Biden's success. JD Vance will be interesting. As Trump has advanced dementia he will be the de facto president if elected. He is a smart and accomplished guy. It will be interesting to see what policies he actually stands for. He likely will block any regulation of AI as his VC friends do not want this, they want to make as much money as fast as possible regardless of the risk. There is already a resurgence of US manufacturing and Biden's Chips and Science act is a big step in the right direction. It will be interesting to see if he can build on this. On the other hand, he may push the US to greater use of coal, which will be bad for everyone.

Agreed on Vance. Trump is not different from Biden in that regard and will - if elected - give a lot of responsibilities to him.

Technically I think Biden is delusional and Trump has dementia. There is something deeply wrong with a political system that offers that choice. I find it hard to imagine how Biden can run, he has been a very good president but it seems obvious that he cannot do the job for four more years and it is an insult to the American voter to ask them to vote for him. I am not crazy about the choices in the next Canadian federal election either, but at least we don't have to choose between delusion and dementia.

Biden crapped the bed then suspiciously got COVID. The hook is coming for him any day now... It's only politics!

The deceit is on the current US administration, they've obscured Biden's dementia for months... Enemies of the west know it and have capitalized on Biden's policy of dithering, appeasement and confusion.

This US show of weakness has resulted in kinetic wars starting in multiple theatres. Our world is at very high risk over the next few months. This is the result of Joe Biden's time as president and will be his legacy.

Technically Biden does not have dementia, he is delusional. It is Trump that has been diagnosed with dementia. Neither are acceptable in the president of the United States. Blaming Biden for the actions of Putin, Netanyahu or Hamas seems random given that it was Trump who set them up. And Biden has done an excellent job on the economy given the train wreck he inherited from Trump.

Britains labour government seems intent on impairing Britain's traditional role as 2IC with the US in managing global affairs and free markets. Appears we're watching a realignment in motion. Unfortunately for the UK, demography is destiny.
