For all those that are following and subscribing, first of all: thanks so much and thanks for all the feedback and shares. I planned to do this as a ‘from time to time’ thing with comments on business and politics, but events are taking it into a more regular and somewhat different direction. We will see where it ends, I really enjoy it as a side activity to my daily investment and finance work. And yes, there are overlaps, it is always a story of politics and markets.

Good news this week is that Substack - this platform - now has an app out, more details here. It launched on iOS and there is a waitlist for Android. Enjoy the journey, lots of great writers on here and a welcome diversification away from traditional media.

The bad news is that the war is continuing and earlier this week I shared the front page of the NYT with the family that was killed in Irpin. Here is their story. It’s so incredibly sad that I don’t really know what to say, just read it and weep. Remember that this is one story that is making the headlines, there is so much more suffering going on that we do not hear about. If there are ways you can support, please do.
